The man arrested in connection to a small fire and the alleged use of an incendiary device at an Emporia apartment home has now entered the court process. And Donovan Williams faces significant charges in the alleged incident.
Williams, who had his first court appearance Thursday in Lyon County District Court, faces 11 total counts, including one count of attempted murder, one count of aggravated arson, four counts of aggravated child endangerment, two of endangerment and two of criminal use of explosives.
The charges follow an incident early April 10 at 825 Congress where a homemade incendiary device was allegedly thrown into a second-story window with people inside the house. The fire that resulted was small and put out quickly with no injuries to anybody.
Williams’ preliminary hearing is at 2 pm May 25 before Judge Laura Miser.
