A pretrial and plea hearing has been added to the Lyon County docket as part of an aggravated assault case allegedly leading to lockdowns at several Emporia schools last month.
Judge Doug Jones set 2 pm May 30 for the hearing in the case of 14-year-old Arlo Feuillerat, charged after an alleged incident at Emporia High on March 29. Jones also said Feuillerat will go from detention to the custody of the Kansas Department for Children and Families instead of other potential living arrangements.
Feuillerat was charged after allegedly bringing a BB gun to Emporia High. Authorities say the incident and resulting investigation caused lockdowns at Emporia High, Emporia Middle School, USD 253 Transitions, Village Elementary and Flint Hills Technical College.
