CrossWinds Counseling Wellness is asking the community help it celebrate a big year with a brand-new community event Friday.
Doors for Celebrating CrossWinds: Stand Up for Mental Health open at 5:30 pm for the Granada Theatre, featuring Kevin Farley, the brother of the late Chris Farler and an accomplished comedian in his own right, as well as Evan Christian Goldt, Ty Clay and KVOE’s Tagan Trahoon.
Here’s CrossWinds CEO Amanda Cunningham:
Tickets range from $20 to $75. Downstairs seating will open at 5:30 pm, including food and open bar. Upstairs seats for the show itself open at 7:30 pm.
The comedy night also coincides with the end of the Celebrate CrossWinds silent auction currently online at crosswindsks.org. Over 30 items are currently up for auction.
CrossWinds has been raising funds for months as part of its better than $5 million “Breaking Stigma, Breaking Ground” capital campaign. Construction is underway on the former Emporia State Chi Omega and Earl Center buildings to create a new campus-style setting for mental health services.
