The Emporia High softball team hosts Iola. It’s a makeup doubleheader from April 28. It’ll also be Senior Day for the Lady Spartans.
Senior Shaylee Ginter will be one of three seniors honored.
The first pitch is set for 4 p.m. at the Trusler Sports Complex due to wet fields at Peter Pan Park. Emporia High will take a 4-14 record into the match.

Freshman Harley Smith will run in the 200 meters, the 400 meters, and a part of the 4×400 meter relay.
The Centennial League meet will be the first taste of the postseason with regionals scheduled for next Thursday.
The Emporia High girls’ swim and dive team will travel to Topeka for the Centennial League meet.
Junior Ryan Peak will be swimming the 50 freestyle, the 100 freestyle, and a part of the 200 and 400 free relays.
This will be the final opportunity for the Lady Spartans to get consideration or qualifying times for next week’s state meet.
