The Emporia High softball team split its final regular season doubleheader Thursday against Iola at the Trusler Sports Complex.
Emporia High won the first game 8-2 with Iola taking game two, 7-2.
In game one, Emporia High jumped out to a 2-0 lead and never looked back.
In game two, Iola scored one in the first, two in the second, one in the fourth and held a 7-2 lead through six innings.
Emporia High coach Annie Rockley says there were positives of getting a split.
Emporia High finishes the regular season with a 5-15 record. The Lady Spartans will find out their regional assignment on Saturday.
