The Council Grove boys won the Flint Hills League Track and Field Championship held in Council Grove Friday.
Council Grove had seven league champions.
Ethan Burton won the 100m. Ahmad Mansaray won the 200m. Loup Charlier won the 3oom hurdles. Kodi Downes won the 1,600m. Jace Goodman, Levi Waring, Mansaray and Burton teamed up to win the 4x100m. Khale Jones won the high jump. Evan Carr won the triple jump.
The Braves won the title by 61.5 points over Chase County.
The Chase County boys finished second behind Council Grove.
Chase County had three league championships. Aidan Eidman won the 110m hurdles. Tag Groh won the 400m. The 4x400m relay team of Tag Groh, Wyatt Griffin, Cooper Schroer, and Brock Griffin took first.
The Osage City girls finished second behind West Franklin
Emory Speece won the 800m, 1,600m, and 3,200m. Speece along with Jaiton Boese, Ally Sage, and Sadie Shoemaker made up the 4x800m that won the league title. Lexi Boss won the discus and the javelin.
The Council Grove girls finished third and had four league champions.
Macy Bolen won the 100m. The 4x100m relay team of Bolen, Lily Ziegler, Kierni Mullen, and Kylie Tyner won the event. Ziegler won the high jump. Mullen won the long jump.
The Osage City boys finished fourth.
Landon Boss won three league titles in the discus, javelin and shot put.
The Chase County girls finished fifth and had two league champions.
Madelyn Wilson won the shot put. Kinzie Rogers won the pole vault.
The Lyndon girls finished fourth and had two league champions.
Tryston Sowers won the 400m. Reanna Marcotte won the triple jump.
The Lyndon boys finished fifth.
The Northern Heights girls finished sixth while the boys placed eighth.
