As Kansas Free For Arts continues gearing up for the fourth installment of the Halfway to Everywhere Music and Arts Festival later this year, the organization now has a new home for the time being.
During an appearance on KVOE’s Talk of Emporia Wednesday, KFFA Director Hank Osterhout informed listeners that if they are looking for the organization they can find them at 713 Commercial Street the former Cradle to Career building.
Osterhout says the current home for KFFA is not a permanent one as they are currently on a six-month lease that could potentially be extended to a year, however, they are still looking for a new permanent residence. To that point, Osterhout reminded residents if they want to assist in these efforts the KFFA Capital Campaign is still ongoing at this time.
Osterhout says the campaign is essentially a “relaunch” for KFFA which has seen tremendous success in recent years with Halfway and its various free community concerts which are back underway at this time. For those who would like to contribute to the campaign, Osterhout says there are plenty of ways to do so.
The fourth annual Halfway to Everywhere Music and Arts Festival is scheduled to take place in downtown Emporia Saturday, Sept. 2 from 2 pm to midnight. The official lineup has not been released, however, Osterhout says announcements will be coming “soon.”
