Regional assignments have been announced for the Emporia High softball and girls soccer teams.
The Emporia High girls soccer team is the No. 11 seed in 5A west and will travel to Maize on Tuesday. Emporia High and Maize will be playing for the second time this season. Maize won the first match 5-1 on March 27.
Emporia High will take a 6-8-1 record into the match.
The Emporia High softball team is the No. 14 seed and will travel to Wichita on Wednesday. The Lady Spartans will be taking on Kapaun Mt. Carmel. Emporia High and Kapaun will be playing for the second time this season. Kapaun won the first meeting 13-3 in six innings on May 6.
Emporia High will take a 5-15 record into the postseason. The games will be played at the Two Rivers Youth Softball Complex.
