Lyon County Crime Stoppers is encouraging residents to attend its meet-and-greet celebration Tuesday evening.
Crime Stoppers member Brandon Khan says part of the reason behind the event is to reintroduce community members to the organization and its work after the COVID-19 pandemic.
Crime Stoppers volunteers and board members will be available to answer questions about their roles and the tip availability through p3tips.com or the P3Tips mobile app. Also, the event will honor the service from founding member Evora Wheeler, longtime board member Bonnie Klumpe and recently-retired Emporia Police detective David Holmes.
The event is from 5:30-7 pm Tuesday at the Lyon County History Center. Crime Stoppers has a nearly 40-year history of helping local law enforcement.
