Spring commencement activities will continue this weekend in Emporia.
Flint Hills Technical College is set to hold its ceremonies Saturday morning inside of White Auditorium. Daugherty says they are anticipating a larger number of attendees for the ceremony as the college is transitioning away from its longstanding tradition of holding both a spring and winter commencement.
Daugherty says these students have had to face a tremendous amount of obstacles during their educational journeys, most notably the COVID-19 pandemic.
Commencement will begin at 10 am Saturday morning. Saturday’s activities follow Emporia State University’s spring commencement activities and Emporia High School’s graduation ceremony from this past weekend.
