Emporia Police and Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission officials say they have seized five illegal gaming machines from an Emporia convenience store.
Police Capt. Lisa Hayes says the machines, along with an ATM and cash, were seized from BP at Sixth and Prairie on Monday morning as part of an investigation into illegal devices. Hayes says the investigation began several weeks ago after information came to light about possible wrongdoing with the devices.
Additional information about why the machines were considered illegal has not been divulged. No arrests have been made at this time as the investigation continues.
