Morris County will have improved signage on county roads as part of funding through the Kansas High-Risk Roads Program.
Morris County receives $365,000 for upgraded signs involving almost 100 miles of county road as part of an announcement Wednesday by Kansas Governor Laura Kelly. Due to its listing as a systemic category project, this work is 100-percent federally funded.
The program as a whole is federally funded and is designed to improve safety on rural roads through partnerships at the local and state level. Nearly 20 projects were selected from a field of 50 applications.
