It’s all systems go at the Jones Aquatic Center with the regular season beginning Saturday.
Hours will be 1-6 pm daily for pool use, and facility director Jennifer Wegener says there will be a lot happening aside from the regular swim options.
The pool season closes Aug. 13 with the annual Pooch Plunge.
Meanwhile, the splash pad at Peter Pan Park has been open since mid-May. Hours are 12-8 pm Mondays and 10 am to 8 pm all other days. Children under age 9 must be accompanied by an adult.
Construction is also set to begin soon for a new splash pad in Strong City’s park near the community-built playground and current fire station. A start date on the roughly $200,000 project is pending.
