Summertime is twice as nice for the Emporia Farmers Market.
Beginning on Wednesday, the market will add a second sale in the parking lot at Seventh and Merchant.
On KVOE’s Morning Show Monday, Emporia Farmers Market Director Trisha Fullerton says adding Wednesdays to the market slate gives vendors another opportunity to sell their items.
Fullerton says patrons can expect to find tomatoes and much more.
There will also be samples of a recipe from the Lyon County Extension Center using ingredients from the market.
Fullerton added a concert series and hot food will be added later this month.
Wednesday markets will go from 5 to 6:30 p.m. along with the Saturday market that begins at 8 a.m.
