Two Former Emporia State Lady Hornets will be inducted into the MIAA Hall of Fame Tuesday night.
Cassondra Boston Richards and Brittney Miller Pitts will become the 9th and 10th Emporia State individuals inducted into the MIAA Hall of Fame as part of the MIAA Awards Ceremony.
Both are already in the Hall of Fame as members of the 2010 Women’s Basketball National Championship team.
Cassondra Boston was a MIAA Freshman of the Year she was also the MIAA Player of the Year her senior season. She was a four-time All-MIAA selection. She also was the Ken B. Jones Award winner her senior year.
Brittney Miller was a three-time All-MIAA selection in volleyball and was an All-American in volleyball. She also earned First Team All-MIAA honors in basketball her junior year.
Emporia States Mckenzie Dimarco is one of the 5 finalists for the Ken B. Jones Award, which goes to the MIAAs Athlete of the Year. The winner will be announced at the Awards Ceremony.
She would become the 10th Emporia State Athlete to earn the honor.
