Two former Emporia State athletes were inducted into the MIAA Hall of Fame last night.
Cassondra Boston Richards and Brittney Miller Pitts became the 9th and 10th Emporia State athletes inducted into the MIAA Hall of Fame as part of the MIAA Awards Ceremony.
Cassandra Boston Richards says it means more now that she understands what she accomplished.
Brittney Miller Pitts called it a great honor.
Emporia States Mckenzie Dimarco was a runner-up for the Ken B. Jones award.
Pittsburg States Auna Childress received the award. She was a national champion triple jumper both indoors and outdoors this past year.
