A Lyndon woman is being held in the Osage County Jail on drug charges following a stop near Carbondale Tuesday.
According to Osage County Sheriff Chris Wells, a deputy initiated a stop in the 12100 block of South Topeka Avenue just before 3:40 pm Tuesday afternoon. After a k-9 unit was deployed narcotics were allegedly located in the vehicle driven by 60-year-old Lana G Carter of Lyndon.
Carter was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, interference with law enforcement and driving with a suspended license.
Formal charges are pending.
