The Emporia Golf Course will be hosting the Kansas Junior Optimist District Qualifier Tournament Friday. 68 golfers from across Kansas are entered. There are 5 golfers from Emporia and the area entered, Nolan Jacob, Chesney Erkel, and Jake Pitman from Emporia. Drew Buchman from Council Grove and Lane Griffith from Burlington.
The first group tees off at 8:30 am and the last group tees off at 1:09 pm.
Golfers have a chance to qualify for the Optimist International Junior Golf Championship.
