The Baltimore Orioles routed the Kansas City Royals 11-3 Sunday.
The Royals scored a run in the top of the 1st, Salvador Perez scored on a Bobby Witt jr double.
The lead did not last long. Baltimore scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 1st.
Salvador Perez hit a 2-run home run to tie the game at 3 in the top of the 3rd but the Orioles scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 3rd inning to take the lead for good.
Former Royal Ryan O’Hearn was 3 for 3 with 4 runs scored and a solo home run.
The Royals have now lost their last 6 games and 8 of their last 9 games. Manager Matt Quatraro was asked after the game, “How do you reset?”
The Royals will try to end the losing skid when they host the Cincinnati Reds Monday night. Zack Greinke will be the starting pitcher for the Royals with the first pitch set for 7:10 pm.
The game will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM, coverage begins at 6:30 pm.
