The 2022 audit report gave CareArc leadership a lot to smile about during the board of directors monthly meeting Tuesday afternoon.
According to the report, the health center once again received a positive opinion which was inspiring for board and finance committee member Ron Hanson. Following the report, Hanson stated his pride in the health center for its positive financial strides for the past several years after a long period of financial instability.
Hanson noted that instability led to a high level of uncertainty as to the future operations of the health center.
Hanson would follow his comments by presenting the monthly financial report for May which showed a $176,000 net gain putting the year-to-date net gain at just over $758,000.
In other business, board members reviewed Hively presented the annual staff satisfaction survey which, according to Hively, was drastically improved from previous years. Overall, Hively says positive responses were up with very minimal negative feedback.
Hively noted that in past years the feedback has “not been so hot.” She says not only did staff seem “more at ease” based on the survey, they also showed a greater “attachment” to the health center’s mission.
Hively attributes part of this turnaround to the creation of the CareArc “Culture Club” which oversees staff satisfaction and ways in which it can be constantly improved. Hively believes the group has helped give staff more of a voice within the organization.
Separately Tuesday, board members received the monthly clinical reports, continued discussions on credentialing, approved new policies and job descriptions and held one executive session. The CareArc Board of Directors will reconvene for its monthly meeting on Tuesday, July 25 inside of the CareArc building.
