Do you have thoughts on what would make the perfect rec center? Well, the Emporia Recreation Commission wants to hear them.
The ERC recently sent out a community needs assessment gauging community input on a variety of recreational needs as it continues plans for either and updated or brand new rec facility in the future. ERC Assistant Director of Business Jennifer Bennett Kraus says the survey is quick and easy to complete.
The survey was sent out Monday morning and as of 10:30 am Wednesday had just over 500 responses and counting. Bennett Kraus says this is a positive sign as the information is “critical” to the overall project.
The needs assessment will be active until July 9 after which time the ERC Future Funding Task Force will review the information to aid in compiling a recommendation for how to proceed in the near future. If you would like to take the survey you can find a QR code on the Emporia Recreation Center Facebook page.
