The Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve is helping to kick off the Fourth of July holiday weekend for the KVOE listening area with activities Saturday.
Chief of Interpretation Heather Brown says activities will take up most of the day.
Guided van tours will also be available at 10 am, 11:30 am, 1 pm and 2:30 pm.
Meanwhile, Lebo has its annual Stars and Stripes Celebration begins Friday evening with the Hometown Gravel Grind and street dance. Saturday’s activity list starts at 7 am with breakfast at the Lebo School Commons and continues through the annual fireworks show at dusk at West Park, including a farmers market, tractor show, cornhole and volleyball tournaments, baby contest, kids games, dog show and a parade. Sunday continues the tractor pull, with bingo and art classes also on the schedule.
