Greenwood County deputies are searching for at least one person who allegedly took equipment and wire from an electric substation.
Deputies say the alleged incident happened between 2-4 am Friday at Eureka’s substation on North Jefferson Street. Early indications are the thief or thieves stole about $100,000 worth of materials.
Deputies say the pickup truck allegedly used in the crime entered the area traveling eastbound on 155th, went south on Jefferson to the substation, left northbound on Jefferson, turned east onto 155th and left the area.
Suspect and pickup descriptions are currently pending.
