Another loss for the Kansas City Royals. The Cleveland Guardians defeated the Royals 6-1 Thursday night.
After a rain delay of over an hour the Royals scored in the 1st inning. Bobby Witt Jr scored on a Nick Pratto single. After the 1st inning, the Royals were held to 4 hits.
Cleveland scored 4 runs in the 6th inning thanks to 2 home runs, an error and a double to put the game out of reach.
Royals Manager Matt Quatraro said they missed some opportunities.
The Royals and Guardians play again Friday night with Daniel Lynch making the start. The first pitch is set for 6:10 pm. The game will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM.
