After taking over a week off due to the KSHSAA Moratorium, the 16s sweep Newton, 6-1, and 13-3 in five innings.
In game one, Emporia took a 1-0 lead after one before Newton tied the game in the top of the second inning. Emporia regained the lead in the bottom of the second with one run and never looked back. The 16s scored one each in the third and fourth innings and added two in the fifth.
Madden Seidl went 2-for-2 at the plate with two RBIs.
