Improving facilities is one of the many goals that Emporia State Athletic Director David Spafford has as part of his master plan for Emporia State Athletics.
Spafford, on KVOE Saturday Moring Sports Talk, said it’s time for a facelift.
With the NCAA Division II outdoor track and field championships to be hosted by Emporia State in 2024, Welch Stadium will be one of the facilities to receive a facelift.
There are other facilities slated for improvement including the soccer pitch and Trusler.
