Area law enforcement agencies are investigating recent thefts of note.
Chase County deputies say they took reports involving a stolen white Ford F-350 with a flatbed trailer. The truck was apparently taken near the intersection of Lake Road and N Road around 10:30 pm July 3. Meanwhile, a trailer with a Caterpillar skid steer and other items was reportedly taken from the area of US Highway 50 and 210th Road.
The trailer has been found in Wichita, but the truck and other items have not been recovered. Deputies say the truck has been seen on camera in and around Wichita and Maize.

Separately, the Morris County business Oleen Brothers has reported the theft of a 7-foot-by-24-foot aluminum Eby trailer in late June as well as a separate theft of diesel fuel from the business in Dwight in mid-June.
