A hearing in a federal child sex abuse materials case has been delayed.
Earlier this year, attorneys for Brandi Snyder of Americus had filed a notice of intent to change her initial plea of not guilty. A hearing last week was continued and there is currently no reschedule date posted on the Public Access to Court Electronic Records website.
Snyder was charged last summer with two counts of producing child sex abuse materials, along with single counts of possession and distribution. Documents through the federal court’s PACER system now indicate more than 150 documents and three audio and/or video recordings as part of the case.
If convicted, Snyder faces federal prison terms of five to 20 years on the distribution charge and up to 20 years in prison on the possession charge.
