The Emporia High boys wrestling program has another wrestler that’ll be competing at the collegiate level.
Lukas Hainline will be continuing his wrestling career at Friends University in Wichita.
Emporia High coach Brook Medrano says he’s excited for Hainline to continue his wrestling career collegiately.
Hainline was a three-time state qualifier. He finished fourth at 138 pounds in Class 5A this past winter. Hainline recorded over 100 wins during his four-year career and had over 20 pins during his senior season.
Hainline chose Friends after visiting Barton Community College, Northeastern Oklahoma A&M, William Jewell, and Benedictine.
Hainline is the second Spartan from last season’s team to sign to continue his wrestling career. Xerarch Tungjaroenkul signed in March to continue his wrestling career at Central Missouri.
