Former Emporia native Braxtyn Stewart has been named an assistant coach at Northeastern State.
Stewart, a 2017 graduate of Emporia High, was a four-sport athlete playing volleyball, basketball, softball, and track and field.
After graduating from Emporia High, Stewart played basketball for four years at Newman University in Wichita. She played in 106 games for the Jets with 67 starts.
She spent her COVID season at Tabor in Hillsboro where she played in 30 games.
After Tabor, Stewart went to Mercer for a season as a graduate assistant coach.
