The Kansas City Royals fell to the New York Yankees 5-4 Friday night.
New York had a 1-0 lead before Michael Massey had a 3-run home run in the fourth inning. The lead didn’t last for long for the Royals as the Yankees responded back with three in the fourth and one in the fifth.
Massey had a solo home run in the eighth, but the Royals couldn’t manage to tie the game.
Royals and Yankees play game two this afternoon. Brady Singer is on the mound for the Royals.
