A pair of intersections have been reopened to traffic following closures earlier in the day Friday.
Traffic at both Ninth and West and Sunnyslope and Ninth has resumed as normal after both intersections were closed down in the late morning and early afternoon hours. The reason for the closures was to allow for a leak-detection survey in both areas.

Emporia’s Ninth and West intersection will be closed all day Friday.
Traffic in all four directions will be diverted as the city conducts a leak detection survey. Issues were noted two weeks ago. There have been concerns about leakage because of several underground connections.
