KVOE received several top honors as part of the Kansas Association of Broadcasters’ annual contest this week.
The KVOE News department received two medium-market first-place awards at the individual level, including the KAB’s first Excellence in Diversity first-place award for Tagan Trahoon’s Feel Good Friday highlighting the Emporia State men’s basketball program’s Night of Culture. Chuck Samples’ reports from the Four Seasons Apartment Complex fire won first for Spot News.
KVOE.com was honored as best website as well, while KVOE’s severe weather coverage from the Chase County tornado episode received second place.
The Alabama Broadcasters Association judged this year’s entries.
