An Emporia man accused of starting a standoff in west central Emporia in late June will have a preliminary hearing Wednesday afternoon.
Dwayne Lamont Ford will appear before Judge Doug Jones at 3 pm.
Ford, 55, was arrested June 30 after alleged involvement in a domestic disturbance and allegedly greeting local law enforcement with a machete in hand.
Ford faces four counts of aggravated assault against law enforcement, one count of interference with law enforcement and one count of domestic battery.
