The Kansas Highway Patrol says two Texas men were hurt in a crash in southern Chase County early Saturday.
Troopers were called out to the Kansas Turnpike mile marker 103.2 northbound at 6:45 am. A car driven by 28-year-old Dontavious Elder of Houston went off the highway at what’s listed as a high rate of speed and went into a ravine.
Elder and 31-year-old De Shon Lenette of Round Rock both suffered suspected minor injuries and were taken to Newman Regional Health for treatment.

Two people received ambulance transports to Newman Regional Health after a crash on the Kansas Turnpike in Chase County on Saturday.
The crash happened just before 7 am near mile marker 103, six miles northeast of the Matfield Green service exit and 24 miles south of the Emporia gate.
