Golf tournament adds to coffers for upcoming USD 252 Honor Flight

The Emporia Golf Course was a busy place Saturday as USD 252 Southern Lyon County held its annual Honor Flight Golf Scramble.

Proceeds from the tournament and a related raffle go to support the district’s next trip to Washington DC in early November. New Superintendent Ryan Muhlig served in the Army Reserves from 1992-2000.

Event organizer Mike Argabright was running the grill again.

Totals from Saturday are pending.

Fundraising continues with the latest Front Porch Jams of Lyon County sending its proceeds from the Aug. 18 concert to Honor Flight. That event will be at 890 Road L near Olpe, weather permitting.
