Year 5 of the No Coast Film Festival is taking place this week.
On KVOE’s Talk of Emporia recently, Programming Director Joshua Krenger said four years of No Coast have made things easier heading into this weekend.
The festival begins at 6 pm Friday with 11 short films, followed by a huge day Saturday. The family-friendly block goes from 10 am to noon, followed by documentaries from 1-3 pm, comedies from 3-5, drama from 4:45 pm to 6 pm and the after-dark block — not for children – from 6:45-10 pm.
Sunday’s activities involve a second block of dramas from 1-4 pm, followed by the awards ceremony.
All films will be displayed at the Emporia Granada Theatre. As usual, the festival is free to attend. Over 70 films from across the world will be screened. Assistant Director Rosalie Krenger is pleased with the offerings for the festival this weekend.
