Boil water advisories north and northeast of Emporia have been terminated.
On Thursday, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment rescinded the boil water advisory in place for Osage County Rural Water District 8. This had been affecting far northeast Lyon County north of the Kansas Turnpike’s Admire exit, northwest Osage County near Burlingame and far southeast Wabaunsee County including the area surrounding Harveyville since Wednesday.
KDHE says there was an unspecified loss of pressure in the delivery system. Laboratory testing samples were needed before KDHE could say there was no evidence of contamination in the water supply.
