The Lyon County Treasurer’s Office will now have a late start to operations once a month beginning next month.
As part of their regular action meeting Thursday morning, commissioners approved a request from Treasurer Sharon Gaede to institute a late start every third Wednesday of the month. Gaede says the need for the late start is to allow for more inter-office communication between herself and her staff.
Late starts will see office hours begin at 9 am every third Wednesday of the month with the first late start slated for Wednesday, September 20. Gaede says there will be no late start in December due to tax deadlines.
In other business Thursday, commissioners approved the fiscal year 2024 carryover budget for Community Corrections and held a pair of executive sessions with no action taken.
Commissioners will convene for a study session at 8:30 am Wednesday before holding their regular action meeting at 9 am Thursday inside of the Lyon County Courthouse Commission Chambers.
