Probation is the sentence for a teenager who triggered several lockdowns at Emporia schools and Flint Hills Technical College earlier this year.
During a hearing in Lyon County District Court Tuesday, Judge Doug Jones sentenced Arlo Feuillerat to six months of juvenile intensive supervised probation with a case length limit of 12 months. This means if Feuillerat fails to complete his probation requirements within six months, the probationary period can be extended to 12.
Back in early August, Feuillerat accepted a plea agreement to a single count of misdemeanor assault. A charge of aggravated assault was dropped as a result of the agreement.
Feuillerat’s sentencing followed an incident in March where he brought a BB gun to Emporia High School and later fled the school, prompting lockdowns at the high school, Emporia Middle School, Flint Hills Technical College, USD 253 Transitions at the college and Village Elementary.
