Tickets are now available for Flint Hills Technical College’s annual culinary competition, the Cut.
The annual event, the college’s take on the popular Food Network series Chopped, will occur on Thursday, October 19 at 6 pm. FHTC Alumni and Annual Fund Coordinator Amy Hall says the college is very excited for what’s to come and the opportunity to showcase once again the college’s culinary arts and multimedia design departments.
The watch party will take place on the west lawn of the FHTC campus.
As in years past, four culinary arts students will compete in the competition that includes three rounds — appetizers, a main course and a dessert. Those dishes will be sampled and judged by Radius Brewing Chef Gus Bays, Jessica Simmons of Gourmet to Go and a guest judge who purchased the opportunity to sit on the panel during the college’s annual gala fundraiser with one contestant eliminated each round.
Tickets for the cut went on sale Monday morning and cost $30 per person. Tickets can be purchased at FHTCthecut2023.givesmart.com.
