An investigation continues into a destructive barn fire in west Lyon County this week.
The fire was reported at 357 Road 200, about three miles west of Emporia and five miles southwest of Americus. By the time firefighters from Emporia and Americus arrived on scene, the barn — built in the eary 1900s — was already burned to the ground. The fire had also gotten into about 30 trees and nearby grass.
Nobody was hurt. The cause has not been determined.
