Last month, Osage City reminded its residents to take part in a special survey on water lines inside their homes. Strong City has been doing likewise for its residents for the past two weeks.
The Environmental Protection Agency and Kansas Department of Health and Environment are surveying homes to determine the types of water lines. The survey is rooted in the situation that unfolded in Flint, Michigan, in 2014, where water supply issues resulted in the discovery of lead in the drinking water.
Osage City residents with questions can call the city’s director of utilities at 785-528-3714. Strong City residents can call City Hall at 620-273-6345.
