A Lyon County drug distribution suspect has a motions hearing ahead next month before trial possibly in early November.
Carl David Colyer’s defense attorney, Steve Atherton, has filed a motion to suppress certain evidence, saying items taken during an incident in early June were “the fruit of an illegal, unreasonable and unconstitutional” seizure.
Colyer is accused of single counts of methamphetamine distribution, “attempted unlawful acts involving proceeds derived from a drug transaction” and paraphernalia possession. He’s accused of distributing up to 100 grams of meth in early June.
The motions hearing is Oct. 6. A status hearing is planned Nov. 1, with trial possibly starting as soon as Nov. 6.
