Emporia Child Care management wants to change out the daycare’s playground equipment, and an Emporia High student has a plan to help.
A Color Fun and carnival event is coming Sunday as organized by Emporia High freshman Evan Bennett and his family. On KVOE’s Morning Show recently, Bennett said Emporia Child Care needs anywhere between $40,000-$50,000 for a full upgrade. He’s hoping for at least $5,000. An anonymous donor will donate all funds up to $5,000.
Carnival games include fishbowl ping pong, ring toss, mini pig races and other activities.
To volunteer or donate, email ewbenne@outlook.com — and then show up at C of E Park on Sunday. Activities go from 1-4 pm. Participation is $20 for people participating just in the color run, while $30 gets a person in the color run and 15 carnival tickets.
