For the 50th time, Sacred Heart Catholic School invites the entire community to dinner.
The 50th annual Sacred Heart Mexican Supper is taking place Friday night from 4:30 pm to 7 pm. Starting in 1973 the Mexican Supper has become a well-attended annual event that serves around 7,000 tacos per year.
Sacred Heart Principal Curtis Simons says it has been a “busy, busy week” at Sacred Heart preparing for the event. He adds that everyone from parents to students and staff have all chipped in to help get things ready to go.
In addition to the meal, the evening will also include a live Mariachi band and dancers inside of the Parish Hall which will be open for those who would like to dine in. Advance tickets are no longer available for the supper, but tickets can still be purchased for $13 at the door getting you two tacos, rice, chips and salsa and a dessert.
All proceeds from the supper will go to support the Sacred Heart School PTO. For more information visit shsemporia.org.
