Emporia’s splash pad season is coming to an end.
The city says the splash pad at Peter Pan Park will close for the season Monday.
The closure comes shortly after frosty conditions are expected areawide early Saturday. The closure typically comes several weeks after the Jones Aquatic Center facility ends its regular season in mid-August.
