There is some traffic signal work underway in west Emporia.
City crews are working on both signals and controllers along much of Industrial Road, including the intersections at Interstate 35, 18th and Prairie Port Plaza. Crews are replacing a non-working pedestrian signal, including the button. They are also upgrading the controller for better communication between the affected signals.
Minor traffic disruption is expected as this work continues.
