An adult and juvenile suffered suspected serious injuries after a wreck near Hartford on Saturday.
The crash happened shortly before 6:40 pm on Road Y-5 near Road 80. Lyon County Deputy Robert Miller says 21-year-old Travis Berrong of Emporia was northbound on Y-5 when his car went off the road for unknown reasons. The car went down an embankment into a ditch before rolling “several” times, ejecting Berrong and an unnamed 15-year-old.
Both were taken by ambulance to Newman Regional Health. Deputies are investigating the crash.
9:30 pm Saturday: Injury crash near Hartford under investigation
Two people were hurt in a rollover crash near Hartford on Saturday.
Emporia Fire Capt. Willie Ward says the crash was a rollover and happened before 7 pm near Roads 80 and Y-5. Both injured people went to Newman Regional Health for treatment.
