Emporia Police and Emporia Fire/EMS responded to a vehicle-pedestrian crash in downtown Emporia on Monday evening.
The incident happened at Sixth and Commercial around 7:30 pm. Emporia Fire says it took the pedestrian to Newman Regional Health with suspected minor injuries. Police Capt. Ray Mattas says the pedestrian was hit while crossing the street against a red light.
